I design and produce fine string instruments, each one is unique and hand made by one set of hands. This allows me to “tailor” the instrument to the players’ specifications.

As an instrument maker or luthier I have to be an artist, a designer, a musician and a craftsman. I believe that a fine instrument is not just a tool but also a work of art. I continually strive to create new designs while building instruments that look, sound, and feel exceptional.

I studied guitar building while in England and trained in violin making here in Maine while earning a BFA in sculpture.
