THE WORKSHOP
My climate controlled workshop is nestled in the foothills and lakes of Harrison, Maine. It provides me with enough space to design, craft and finish my instruments as well as a backdrop to artistic creativity. Musicians are always welcomed to the shop by appointment.
I work with hand tools and use natural hot hide glue as much as possible on my instruments. Most of my woods is purchased locally and enjoy the results of working with domestic woods. However, I can get most any wood to suit a player's needs.
I make and utilize an internal form, a technique used in violin making. New designs are done by hand which helps in connecting me to the overall process.
